Scope and publisher

This policy applies to gpu-rent-or-buy.com, created by Aaron Ring and published under the editorial name The Compute Desk. The site is an informational calculator, not a financial adviser, hardware seller or cloud provider.

Calculator information

Calculator arithmetic runs in your browser. GPU choices, prices, hours, financing assumptions, power costs, ZIP-code lookups and the optional domestic-tranquility reserve are not submitted to an application database.

Most calculator assumptions can be encoded in the page URL so you can bookmark or share a scenario. Anyone receiving such a URL can read those parameters. ZIP code and the domestic-tranquility reserve are deliberately excluded from generated share links.

Hosting and regional privacy routing

Cloudflare delivers the site and, like other internet infrastructure providers, processes request information such as IP address, requested URL, browser headers and security signals. Cloudflare may retain infrastructure logs under its own service terms and privacy policy.

When advertising is configured, a small Cloudflare Worker can read the country code and, for U.S. requests, the state or region code supplied by Cloudflare. It returns only one of three consent regimes—strict, U.S. opt-out or standard—to the browser with a no-store response. While AdSense remains unconfigured, the browser does not request this classification. The application does not return the underlying country, state or IP address to its front end or save them in an application database.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate visits and page performance. Its lightweight performance beacon loads from static.cloudflareinsights.com and, because this site is proxied through Cloudflare, reports to the same-origin /cdn-cgi/rum endpoint.

Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors’ personal data, does not use cookies or local storage, and does not fingerprint individuals. It does not log calculator query strings. See Cloudflare’s Web Analytics documentation and privacy policy.

Advertising and Google Privacy & Messaging

Google AdSense is not currently configured, so no ads or Google advertising tag load and the advertising-consent interface stays dormant. If advertising is enabled later, Google and its advertising partners may receive the requested page URL and IP address and may use cookies, web beacons or other identifiers to deliver, limit, personalize and measure ads, prevent fraud and report performance. A shared calculator URL can contain the scenario assumptions described above.

When AdSense is configured, EEA, UK and Swiss visitors will be routed to a Google-certified TCF consent flow. Visitors in supported U.S. states will receive opt-out controls, and browser Global Privacy Control will be honored for ad personalization. Other visitors will receive a saved personalized-ad choice. Consent storage and your choices

While AdSense remains unconfigured, the site shows no consent banner and stores no local consent preference. If advertising is enabled, the site may save a non-CMP personalized-ad choice in browser local storage, including the notice version, regional regime, Global Privacy Control status and update time. A certified CMP may store additional TCF or U.S. privacy strings and cookies required to remember its choices.

Once advertising is active, a small advertising-privacy button will allow available choices to be reviewed. Clearing this site’s browser data will remove any local preference and cause the applicable privacy flow to appear again.

Affiliate and outbound links

The site may use clearly labeled affiliate links when an independently recommended product or provider offers a suitable program. Commercial relationships do not determine calculator defaults, source inclusion, rankings or verdicts. A destination site may receive referral information and apply its own cookies or tracking after you follow an external link; its privacy policy then applies.

Sharing, retention and international processing

The publisher does not sell calculator answers or maintain user accounts. Data is shared with Cloudflare as necessary to deliver, secure and measure the site. Google receives data only if advertising is later enabled as described above. These providers may process data in multiple countries using the safeguards described in their terms and policies.

Any future local advertising choice will remain until you change it, clear site data or a new notice version requires a new choice. The regional endpoint is marked no-store. Google and Cloudflare retain data according to their respective settings, contracts and policies.

Children

This general-audience site is not directed to children under 13, and the publisher does not knowingly collect information from children through the calculator.
